Hey guys! As we go into these uncertain times (Corona virus is slowing making it's way deeper into our lives...) and as QU students are entering spring break, I wanted to talk a little about the bigger idea of designing a dream and sticking to it.
This is an issue I have always had an issue with. Either I have a dream or an idea to do something and it is stuck in my head, but I never mention it to anyone OR I go around talking about it with great enthusiasm. Both results - in the past - have produced zero result to show. I think that it is time that we all work, as a nation and as a culture, to combat this feeling of "stuck."
Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.
This project, Two Sets of Wings, has gotten me more excited than ever to get my pilot's license and start working on getting other women into the air and start flying. However, I worry that with the anticipation of spring break, I will put it off to the side and procrastinate it. This is a systematic issue and I have noticed that it happens frequently with my parents, my friends and people that I am close with. Every once in a while, a concept breaks through and we see success. Yet, dreams are often pushed to the back burner and ignored until they fizzle out and become just another memory.
I hope that, amid this business venture that I am striving for, that I can help fellow dreamers and entrepreneurs create their vision and teach them to hold their OWN feet to the fire. It isn't easy, it isn't a simple road. It is a lot of hard work, but the end goal is worth it and being able to teach others how to do it is very powerful.
